Estel Ray Burrow

Estel Ray Burrow, 66, of Manila, passed from this life, Saturday, Nov. 28, 2020, at the Manila Nursing Center. Born in Walnut Ridge, he was the son of the late Estel Roy and Violet Cook Burrow and was raised in the Poplar Bluff, Mo., area. Ray was a U.S. Navy veteran of the Vietnam War era and had been a longtime resident of Texas before making his home in Manila in 2005. Ray enjoyed reading, fishing and hot rods and was a member of the First Baptist Church in Manila. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Larry Cook, James Cook and James Burrow; and one sister, Mary Burrow.

Survivors include one son, Grant Lewis of Houston, Texas; two brothers, Gene Burrow (Dianna) of Manila and Lloyd Cook (Kim) of Poplar Bluff, Mo.; five sisters, Laura McDowell (Darrell) of Manila, Opal Burgis of Como, Texas, Doris Jones of Bassett, Doylene Hall (Archie) of Sedgewick and Teresa Necaise (Neil) of Walnut Ridge. He also leaves one granddaughter, Delilah Lewis.

A graveside service was 2 p.m. Tuesday in the Mole Hill Cemetery in Broseley, Mo., with Rev. Larry Davis officiating. Burial followed under the direction of Howard Funeral Service of Manila. Online guest register is at www.howardfuneralservice.com.
