Pauline England Carter

Pauline England Carter of Trumann departed this life on Tuesday, Nov. 17, 2020, at Green Acres Nursing Home in Paragould at the age of 96 years, 7 months and 1 day. She was born Wednesday, April 16, 1924, in Wilson and lived most of her lifetime in Trumann until 2012 when she moved to Paragould. She was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd Hendrix “Henry” Carter; four daughters, Bonnie Jacobs, Joyce Moss, Sherry Harkey and infant Carter; and her parents, Avie and Mary Susie Jones England.

She is survived by two daughters, Connie Carter of Trumann and Pam Pitcher of Paragould; one son, Billy Lloyd Carter of Germany; three half brothers, Jimmy Grant of Florida, Leroy England and Ray England, both of Arkansas; one half sister Kathy Matthews of Louisiana; 17 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren, and 22 great-great-grandchildren.

A graveside service was Nov. 20 at Willis Cemetery near Harrisburg with Jeff Miles officiating. Burial followed under the direction of Thompson Funeral Home of Trumann. In compliance with COVID-19 restrictions, social distancing was required along with face masks.
