Roosevelt Rinkins, 77, of Luxora died Nov. 11, 2020, in Osceola. He was a farmer and a member of New Salem MB Church in Luxora.

Mr. Rinkins was born Dec. 29, 1942, in Holly Springs, Miss., to Clint Rinkins and Bessie Mosley Duncan.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Pauline Rinkins; two sons, Eric Taylor and Darryll Burtley; two brothers, Connie Duncan, Jr. and Wesley Duncan; and one sister, Bessie Duncan.

He is survived by four sons, Anthony Porter (RoyceAnn) and Maurice Williams (Shelbie) of Iowa City, Iowa, Elenzie Porter of Chicago, Ill., and Roosevelt Rinkins, Jr. of Jonesboro; one daughter, Mechelle Harper (Henri) of Belleville, Ill.; one brother, Willie Duncan (Nicole) of Texas; four sisters, Mary Crump and Callie Fields of Osceola, Lula Williams of Burlington, Iowa, and Geneva Duncan of Texas; 19 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 12-1:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 21, at Wilson Funeral Home in Osceola. Graveside services will follow at 2 p.m. Saturday at Luxora Cemetery in Luxora with Rev. McArthur Hampton officiating. Wilson Funeral Home in Osceola is in charge.
