Claudia Beatrice Thompson

Claudia Beatrice Thompson, 84, of Fort Mitchell, Ala., died Nov. 8, 2020, at Magnolia Manor facility in Columbus, Ga. She was a retired factory worker and a member of Mt. Pisby MB Church in Joiner. Ms. Thompson was born May 8, 193,6 in Durant, Miss., to Horace and Elizabeth Wash Blue. She was preceded in death by her parents, Calvin and Doshie Haris whom raised her; her husband, Frank Thompson; one son, Larry Thompson; two sisters, Ruth Pippus and Ernestine Wright.

She is survived by three sons, Adolph (Vernita) Thompson of Santa Maria, Calif., Frederick (Edna) Thompson of Jacksonville and Steve (Penny) Thompson of Orlando, Fla.; one daughter, Stephanie (Rodific) Smith of Fort Mitchell, Ala.; one brother, Jerry Horton of St. Louis, Mo.; one sister, Katherine Fisher of Chicago, Ill.; 11 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

Visitation was Saturday, Nov. 14, 2020, from 5-7 p.m. at Wilson Funeral Home in Osceola. Funeral was Sunday, Nov. 15, at 2 p.m. at Mt. Pisby MB Church in Joiner. Burial was at Mt. Pisby Cemetery in Joiner with Rev. Kenneth Williams officiating. Wilson Funeral Home in Osceola was in charge.
