Grover Lacey “Butch” Cater

Grover Lacey “Butch” Cater, 76, passed away Monday, Nov. 9, 2020, at his home in Manila. He was born July 27, 1944 in Manila to W.H. and Ruby Hendrix Cater. He was of the Baptist faith, a retired truckdriver, enjoyed going to casinos and watching westerns.

Survivors include three sons, Jeremiah Cater of Murfreesboro, Tenn., Phillip Cater of Monette and Jeff Cater of Leachville; two daughters, Kim Cater of Doniphan, Mo., and Holly Webster of Leachville; two brothers, Lee Cater of Manila and Bobby Cater of Jonesboro; three sisters, Mary Malloy Manila, Becky Wilkie of Heber Springs and Karen James of Jonesboro; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren and a host of other family and friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Bill and Johnny Cater, and one sister, Bessie Stutts.

A graveside service is incomplete at this time.
