John Thomas Miller

John Thomas Miller of Trumann departed this life Wednesday, Nov. 4, 2020, at the family residence at the age of 77 years, 6 months and 20 days. He was born Thursday, April 15, 1943, in Paragould and lived in Trumann for the past three years. He worked in the produce office for M.E. Carter for 38  years and also rebuilt cars for over 30  years for Harvey’s Body Shop and was a member of Lebanon Missionary Baptist Church in Poughkeepsie. He was preceded in death by one sister, one brother and his parents, Lucian and Selma Vaughn Miller.    

He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Rosemary Oxford Miller of the home; two sons, Ryan Michael Miller of Jonesboro and Donald Gray of Bay; three daughters, Janet Martin of Paragould, Connie Miller of Jonesboro and Regina Heatherly of Trumann; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.      

A Celebration of Life was Nov. 8 at Pleasant Valley Baptist Church with Reverend Phillip Lewallen and Josh Martin officiating.  Burial was Nov. 9 at Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery in Birdeye. In compliance with COVID-19 restrictions, social distancing was required along with face masks and the signing of a COVID-19 form.
