Eva Sue Owens

Eva Sue Owens of Trumann departed this life Wednesday, Nov. 4, 2020, at Granbury, Texas, at the age of 84 years, 10 months and 11 days. She was born Tuesday, Dec. 24, 1935, in Trumann and lived most of her lifetime in Trumann. Sue was a bank teller for 37 years retiring from Bank of Trumann and was a member of First Assembly of God Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Curtis Aubrey Owens; two sisters, three brothers and her parents, Walter and Maggie Barton Heath.       

She is survived by two sons, Mark (Sonja) Owens of Granbury, Texas, and Gary (Denise) Owens of Jonesboro; one brother, Earl Heath; one sister, Mickey (Jimmy) Stotts of Trumann; seven grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews that loved her.      

A Celebration of Life was Nov. 7 in the chapel of Thompson Funeral Home with Brother David Smith officiating. Burial followed at Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery in Jonesboro. In compliance with COVID-19 restrictions, social distancing was required along with face masks and the signing of a COVID-19 form.
