Lou Alice Reed

Lou Alice Reed of Blytheville was born Feb. 17, 1948, to the late Louis Reed and the late Louise Clark Reed. She was a worker at the Bush Canning Factory in Blytheville and was of the Baptist faith. Ms. Reed passed away Oct. 27, 2020, at her home in Blytheville at the age of 72. She was preceded in death by her father, Louis Reed, Sr.; her mother, Louise Clark Reed; one son, Kenny Reed; one brother, Louis Reed, Jr.; one sister, Patsy Reed; and two grandchildren, Robert Alexander, Jr. and Quanita Thomas.

She is survived by her son, Willie Earl Reed of Valparaiso, Ind.; daughter, Phoebe Amos of Blytheville; five brothers, Russell (Juanita) Reed, Herbert (Bonnie) Reed and Albert Reed all of Kansas City, Mo., Andrew Thomas (Cheryl) Reed of Grand Rapids, Mich., and George (Victoria) Reed of Dallas, Texas; three sisters, Barbara (Siddeeq) Amir of Gary, Ind., Mattie Bell of Jackson, Mich., and Cherry Reed of Kansas City, Mo.; and 30 grandchildren.

Visitation will be held Saturday, Nov. 7, 12-1:45 p.m. at New Immanuel M.B. Church in Blytheville with the funeral following at 2 p.m., Rev. Burton Furlow officiating. The burial will be held at Memory Garden Cemetery in Blytheville. Services are provided by Wilson Funeral Home Blytheville.
