Lou Vell Turney

Lou Vell Turney, 79, of Dell, went home to be with the Lord Saturday, Oct. 24, 2020, at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro. She was born July 12, 1941, to Troy and Vera (Peters) Towery in Saltillo, Miss. She was a member of Bethany Baptist Church in Gosnell. She loved going to church, playing with her grandchildren, and sharing time with her many family and friends.

She is survived by her son, Dennis (Nicole) Turney of Blytheville; four grandchildren, Hayden, Ian, Camden, and Paisley; one sister, Lou Pearl Turney of Brookland; and a host of nephews, nieces, and friends she loved very much.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Lola Bell Turner; and her five brothers, Charles, Cecil, James, Elbert and Olen.

A graveside service will be held Friday, Oct. 30, at 11 a.m. at Mississippi County Memorial Cemetery in Osceola with Bro. Gary Hyde officiating under the direction of Faith Funeral Service, Manila.
