James Wesley “Double” Cooper

James Wesley “Double” Cooper, 55, of Batesville and formerly of Blytheville, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 21, 2020, at Great River Medical Center in Blytheville.

Double was born in Blytheville to Billy Joe and Frankie Louise Johnson Cooper. He was a supervisor at Tenaris and was a member of Yarbro Baptist Church. Double was an avid outdoorsman who loved to hunt, fish and raise Beagles. He loved the Dallas Cowboys and the Arkansas Razorbacks.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and Jo Cooper.

Double leaves his wife, Audrey Hoskins Cooper of Batesville; aunts and uncles, Charles and Yvonne Hall, Lavern Cumie Goneke and Janice Rutledge; and Bo Wesley, whom he had a special place in his heart for.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, Oct. 24, at 2 p.m. at Yarbro Baptist Church. Following the State of Arkansas COVID-19 guidelines, no more than 100 people will be allowed to gather inside of the church and practice social distancing, keeping a 6-foot distance between one another.
