Blytheville-Gosnell game cancelled

Friday, October 16, 2020

The highly-anticipated Blytheville-Gosnell high school football game was cancelled by Blytheville Friday night because of COVID-19 related reasons.

The game would have been the first ever regular season game between the two schools whose campuses are just five miles apart. It was also a 4A-3 conference game.

Tickets and vouchers for the game were sold out/handed out quickly.

Fans circled the game when the schedule came out. Because it was a COVID-19 cancellation, the game is a no contest.

Blytheville is scheduled to play at Trumann Friday night, while the Pirates are slated to host Rivercrest.
