Niki R. Jones & Xavier Elijah Jones

Niki R. Jones was born to Delinda Fletcher and the late Robert Vornes Sr., on Sept. 14, 1977, in Osceola. Niki departed this life on Friday, Oct. 2, 2020, at Great Rivers Medical Center in Blytheville at the age of 43. She was preceded in death by her father, Robert Vornes Sr., and a son, Xavier Elijah Jones.

Niki leaves to cherish her memories her husband, Terrance Jones of Blytheville; her mother, Delinda Fletcher of Blytheville; two sisters, Cozette Crawford of Blytheville and Vonoy Hunter of Nashville, Tenn.; four brothers, Martrez Banks of Blytheville, Robert Vornes Jr., Mario Barber of West Memphis and Adonerus Johnson of Elkhart, Ind.; two grandmothers, Barbara Transou of Blytheville and Eddie B. Vornes of Osceola; four stepdaughters, Chyanne Whitfield, Tiana Jones, Georgia Jones and Ty’khija Burks; two stepsons, Terrance Jones Jr. and Terrell Jones, all of Blytheville; and a host of other family members and friends.

Xavier Elijah Jones was born to Terrance Jones and Nikki R. Jones on Friday Oct. 2, 2020, at Great River Medical Center in Blytheville. He departed this life on that same day. Xavier was preceded in death by his mother, Niki R. Jones; his grandfather, Robert Vornes Sr., and his grandmother, Vivian Jones.

Xavier leaves to cherish him his father, Terrance Jones; four sisters, Cheyanne Whitfield, Tiana Jones, Georgia Jones, and Ty’khija Burks; two brothers, Terrance Jones Jr. and Terrell Jones; his grandmother, Delinda Fletcher, all of Blytheville; two great-grandmothers, Barbara Transou of Blytheville and Eddie B. Vornes of Osceola; and a host of other family members.

Visitation will be held Saturday, Oct. 10, from 11 a.m. until 12:55 p.m., at Christ Family Christian Church in Blytheville. Service will follow at 1 p.m. Burial will follow at Sandy Ridge Cemetery in Burdette.
