Shirley Andrews

Shirley Andrews, 77, of Blytheville, passed away Saturday, Sept. 26, 2020, at Baptist East Hospital in Memphis.

Shirley was born in Manila to Barley and Ruby Schlueter Riggs. She was a retired nurse’s assistant and was of the Baptist faith. Shirley was an avid reader and loved baking, especially red velvet cake.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and four brothers, Leroy, Bobby, Donald and Ricky Riggs.

Shirley leaves her children, Marilyn Sue Sears of Goldsboro, N.C., Michael David Andrews of Tuscaloosa, Ala., and Ronald Kevin Andrews of Blytheville; brother, Larry Riggs of Yakima, Wash.; sister, Vera Willene Willis of Billings, Mont.; five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, Oct. 1, at 11 a.m. in the Cobb Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until service time at Cobb Funeral Home. Following the State of Arkansas COVID-19 guidelines, no more than 100 people are allowed to gather inside of Cobb Funeral Home and practice social distancing, keeping a 6-foot distance between one another.
