Helen Mae Mitchell was born July 11, 1931, in Osceola to Ethel and Caleb Tyson Sr. She departed this life on Friday, Sept. 18, 2020, at the age of 89. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Lushion “Shep” Mitchell; four children, Princess Davis, Charles Mitchell, Milton Mitchell and Ronald Mitchell Sr.; three grandchildren, Sharon Mitchell, Travie Mitchell and Bishop Gerald Mitchell.

Helen Mae Mitchell confessed her hope in Christ at an early age, which continued throughout her life as a faithful member of Revival Center. Mama Helen loved people. Mama was an avid fisherman and could out fish the best of them.

She united with Lushion “Shep” Mitchell in 1947 and to this union seven children were born.

She leaves to cherish her memories three daughters, Mozella Mayfield of Inkster, Mich., Imogene Mitchell Swift of Blytheville and Minnie (George) Mitchell Kline of Clarksville, Tenn.; a sister-in-law, Walterine Mitchell of Blytheville; and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, family and friends.
