Wava Louevelyn Martin

Wava Louevelyn Martin, 66, a lifelong Leachville resident, passed from this life early Sunday morning, Sept. 13, 2020, at her home. Born in Monette, she was the daughter of the late Edward Dee and Faye Christine Lentz Puckett and was a 1972 graduate of Leachville High School. Wava later graduated from the Vogue School of Cosmetology in Paragould and was the owner/operator of Wava's Hair Salon in Leachville for many years. Her passion in life was her family, and she enjoyed visiting with friends and shopping at flea markets and consignment shops. She was a member of the Beacon Baptist Church in Blytheville. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by three brothers, Jerry Puckett, Terry Puckett, and Charles Puckett, and a sister, Connie Shepard.

She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Bobby Martin of Leachville; one son, Randy Martin of Jonesboro; one daughter and son-in-law, Lisa and Jeremy Tucker of Caraway; three brothers, Thomas Puckett of Leachville, Cloyce Puckett of Summersville, Mo., and Bert Puckett of Leachville; three sisters, Jo Ann Cardin of Leachville, Quinne Moore of Saint Ann, Mo., and Mary Steen of Kennett. She also leaves seven grandchildren, Hunter Martin, Briana Brock, Brant Martin, Dylan Martin, Bradley Tucker, Sadie Lawson, and Braden Tucker and two great-grandchildren, Finleigh Brock and Brennan Martin.

Graveside funeral service will be 11 a.m. Wednesday in the Leachville Cemetery with Rev. Danny Smith officiating. Burial will be under the direction of Howard Funeral Service of Leachville. Friends may sign the online guest register at www.HowardFuneralService.com.
