Blytheville to pre-sell 400 home tickets for Friday's game with Osceola

Tuesday, September 1, 2020

Blytheville School District will pre-sell 400 tickets for Friday night’s home football opener with Osceola, and give the Osceola School District 200 vouchers for Seminole fans to have the opportunity to purchase tickets, according to BHS athletic director Donald Davis.

“Because of the social distancing guidelines that is all we will allow to enter for the home team,” Davis said.

Tickets are $5 each for ages 5 and above.

“We suggest not bringing children under 5, but they will be free and will have to be held in the parent’s lap,” Davis said. “Children 6th grade and below can only enter with an adult and must have a ticket. We will sell first to our football, band, and cheer team members Tuesday and Wednesday afternoon. Then we will sell to our student body and faculty Thursday morning. If there are still tickets left after that, we will sell to the community at Chickasaw Arena Thursday, September 3, 11:00-1:00, first come first served until we run out. Anyone buying tickets must have the exact amount. We do not plan to have change. I’m sorry for the inconvenience, but this is the best method we could figure out with the COVID restrictions put on the school to enforce social distancing.”

In the stands, every other row will be marked off with tape and fans cannot sit in those rows.

“On the other rows there are places where families of three or four can sit together then there is a six feet spot taped off where you cannot sit,” Davis said. “Please follow these guidelines and don’t sit anywhere that has black tape. We want to keep playing sports. The only way to do that is to follow the guidelines.”

The Chickasaws host the Seminoles at 7 p.m., at Haley Field.
