Mable Louis Morris Tipton

Mable Louis Morris Tipton of Blytheville was born Aug. 25, 1939, in Portageville, Mo. She was a homemaker and a member of Progressive M.B. Church. Mrs. Tipton passed away Aug. 24, 2020, in Marion at the age of 80. She is preceded in death by her husband, George Tipton, Jr.; one son, Mitchell Tipton; two daughters, Lois Newmy and Carolyn Wilson; her brother, Elijah Morris; and one sister, Mary Hollis.

She is survived by two sons, George Tipton III of Leesburg, Ga., and Willie Tipton of Memphis, Tenn.; five daughters, Anna Miller of Dallas, Texas, Sallie Paraham of North Fork, Vir., Gwendolyn Sweet of Royce City, Texas, Mable Madkins of Marion and Mavis Echols also of North Fork, Vir.; one sister, Eletha Small of Lilbourn, Mo.; 20 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

A visitation was held from 10 a.m. - 12 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 27, at Wilson Funeral Home in Blytheville, with the funeral immediately following at 12 p.m. also at Wilson Funeral Home, Rev. Anthony Burton officiating. Burial was held at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Blytheville. Services provided by Wilson Funeral Home Blytheville.
