Deborah Kaye Murphy Horner

Deborah Kaye Murphy Horner of Blytheville was born Sept. 1, 1957, in Milo, Okla., to the late Otis Murphy, Sr. and the late Rena Stevenson Murphy. She was a homemaker and a member of Temple of Praise in Gosnell. Mrs. Horner passed away Aug. 10, 2020, at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro at the age of 62. She is preceded in death by her father, Otis Murphy, Sr.; her mother, Rena Murphy; husband, Larry Horner; two brothers, Robert Miles and Otis Murphy, Jr.; and two sisters, Marvella Miles, and Stephanie Perry.

She is survived by three sons, William Clark, Dennis Cothran, Jr., and Amos Holliman, all of Blytheville; three daughters, Clarissa Cothran and Cornisha Cothran, both of Blytheville, and Selena Holliman of Jacksonville; four god daughters, Linda Smith of Blytheville, Denasia Hill of Gosnell, Lashaunda Smith of Jonesboro and Jasmine Williams of Steele, Mo.; one brother, Charles Murphy of Blytheville; one stepbrother, Odis Murphy of Sacramento, Calif.; four sisters, Margaret Washington of Lawton, Okla., Denise Lee (Cornelius), Jeanetta Murphy, and Lola Bobo (Wendell), all of Blytheville; one god sister, Rosemary Clanton of Atlanta, Ga.; three special friends, Jearlean Williams, Patricia Gaston and Renée Young; and 16 grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 1-2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 22, at Temple of Praise in Gosnell, with the funeral immediately following at 2 p.m. with Pastor Issac Johnson, officiating. The burial will be held at Gethsemane Memorial Gardens in Blytheville. Services are provided by Wilson Funeral Home Blytheville.
