Jesse Terrell Hinds

Tuesday, August 18, 2020

If you lived in Trumann from 1945-1957 you may have seen him at school, at church or momentarily at the Singer plant before he went off with the Army to Korea. If you liked to fish, you could have run into him one of the 100 weekends that he went fishing with his brothers somewhere in the early 2000s. Though he moved away, part of his heart and many of his family members still live on in the Trumann area.

Jesse Terrell Hinds passed away Aug. 9, 2020. He was born to George Joseph Wesley Hinds and Eula Marie Knight Hinds on Sept. 13, 1933. He was preceded in death by his wife, Aline Turman Hinds; his parents; a baby boy who died at birth; siblings, Vivian Presley, George Hinds, Irene Garner, John Hinds, Maxine Haun, Ira Hinds, Wayne Hinds, Raymond Hinds and Helen Hinds.

He is survived by his children, brothers Oliver and Ferrell Hinds, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, many cousins, nieces, nephews, friends and loved ones. If you know the family you may have heard it said that you can always tell a Hinds...but not much.

A memorial service will be held at Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church in Jonesboro, Sunday, Nov. 1, 2020, at 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to St. Jude in his honor.
