Roderick S. Wells

Roderick S. Wells was born in Blytheville June 4, 1973, to Johnny and Betty Wells.

Roderick confessed a hope in Christ at an early age at Prince of Peace Church under the leadership of Reverend TJ Rogers. Roderick loved his family dearly and never met a stranger. He loved being with his siblings and special friends. He prided himself on being a hard worker and taking care of his children. Roderick graduated from Blytheville High School with the class of 1991.

Roderick was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Alinder Crain; paternal grandfather, Willie Wells; paternal grandmother, Lula Wells. He was also preceded in death by his uncles Alinder Crain Jr., Jimmy Wells, Jerry Wells, Willie Wells; aunts, Bonnie Anderson, Paulette Walker; and two cousins, Draeson Williams and Desmond Wells.

On July 27, 2020 Roderick began his journey into eternity.

Roderick leaves to forever cherish his memories his parents, Johnny and Betty Wells; six daughters, Bianca Wells of Little Rock, Ashleigh Bruner of Austin, Texas, Brittney, Rod’Dezia and Te, Auna Wells, all of Jonesboro, and Skyler Wells of Mesquite Texas. He also leaves six sons, Ronshandre Williams, Caleb Wells and London Wells, all of Blytheville, Roderick Wells Jr. of Mesquite, Texas, Jaylen Williams of Grand Prairie, Texas, and Malaki Fasthorse of South Dakota. He leaves behind two brothers, Darren (Amie) Wells, and Carlos (Amber) Wells, both of Blytheville; and two sisters, Lakresha(Lamar)Johnson of Blytheville and Demetrice Wells of Memphis, Tenn.; and his maternal grandmother, Vernell Crain of Blytheville. Roderick also leaves behind a very special friend, LaDonna Houston, and her children, Kendall Taylor and Christopher (Tashhonacy) Taylor, all of Blytheville. He also leaves behind nine grandchildren, a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.

Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Aug. 7, at Prince of Peace Church, 501 E. McHaney, Blytheville. Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Aug. 8, at Prince of Peace Church.
