Carolyn Virginia (Stigall) Littleford

Carolyn Virginia (Stigall) Littleford, 76, of Brockwell, departed this life July 24, 2020, at home. Carolyn was born Dec. 21, 1943, to Robert Lee Stigall and Avilou (Peters) Stigall in Blytheville.

Carolyn met Robert Lynn Littleford while he was stationed at Blytheville Air Force Base. They married July 10, 1959, and moved to his home in Pocatello, Idaho. She was a wonderful homemaker. She enjoyed camping, hunting, and horseback riding. She made many life-long friends and loved her new family in Idaho. She went back to school at ISU, after Lynn was in a terrible horseback riding accident. She worked several years at ISU as an administrative assistant before they moved to Blytheville in 1983 to be near her family. She especially enjoyed spending time with family; playing cards and board games. She organized numerous family reunions and get togethers. She and Lynn decided to sell their home in Blytheville and move to the Ozarks in 1988. They purchased their dream home in Gepp. They couldn’t seem to get away from their children, as they all soon moved to Arkansas, too! Carolyn had a heart of gold and would help anyone. She also worked as a personal care attendant and enjoyed caring for people.

Carolyn is survived by her son, Ron Littleford and wife Dana of Gepp; four daughters, Zoe Owens and husband Dan of Brockwell, Connie Wood and husband Bussy of Oxford, Anita Roork and husband Al of Salem, and Misti Herndon of Brockwell; nine grandchildren, Amber (David Helming) Owens, DeeLana (Brian) Searle, CarolMae (RJ) Paulsen, Stacy Fountain, Eric (Aleah) Fountain, Racheal (Jason) Downs, Josh Wood, Kenneth Wood, and Myra (Dakota) Cawvey; 19 great-grandchildren, Lane (Paige Dykes) Morris, Colt Herndon, Sierra Herndon, McKenzie (Craig Kemp) Bontrager, John Stroud, Brennen Owens, Jason Downs II, Lukas Downs, Kaleb Downs, Rusty Searle, Shawn Helming, Benjamin Helming, Lola Morris, Elle Morris, Jarrett Fountain, Ethan Wood, Cheyenne Billingsley, Landon Wood and Amilia Cawvey; three sisters, Cody Fulgham, Betty Johnson and Terry (Mike) Lawrence; two brothers, Huey (Wanda) Stigall and Ronnie Stigall; and many other relatives and friends. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband; a son-in-law, Ronnie Herndon; grandson, Christopher Fountain; great great grandson, Keith Allen Morris; sisters, Pauline Davis, Sue Wallace, Shirley (Jim) Scott, and Linda (Doyle) Sipes; brothers, Bobby Stigall, Roy Stigall, and Bill (Jan) Stigall.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 1, at Barker Funeral Home in Salem with Bro. Darren Morris officiating. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Friday, July 31, at Barker Funeral Home. Interment will be in the County Line Cemetery in Gepp. Pallbearers are Kenneth Wood, Josh Wood, Jason Downs, Lukas Downs, Kaleb Downs, John Stroud, Eric Fountain and Dakota Cawvey. Honorary pallbearers are David Helming, Brennen Owens, Rusty Searle, Jarrett Fountain and Craig Kemp. Arrangements are entrusted to Barker Funeral Home of Salem.
