Opal Elizabeth Doyle

Opal Elizabeth Doyle, 88, of Blytheville, passed away Monday, July 13, 2020, at Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House in Jonesboro.

Opal was born in Osceola to Charlie and Louise Nelson Cain. She was retired from the Mississippi County Circuit Court Clerk’s office and later worked for Terry Abstract Company. Opal was a member of Gosnell Baptist Church. She enjoyed going out to breakfast and antiquing with her girlfriends. Opal loved her family more than anything. She cared for her husband tirelessly for several years when his health started to fail and was a wonderful wife and mother.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Doyle; her parents; and two sisters, Ruby Cleveland and Ruth Bess.

Opal leaves two children, Deborah Pate and her husband Mike of Blytheville and Rodney Doyle of Oakdale, Calif.; one sister, Stella Bohaning of Jacksonville, Fla.; four grandchildren, Ashley McGuirt, Jana Gregson, Jessica Pierce and Megan Doyle; and seven great-grandchildren, Halen Layne, Graden McGuirt, Kamry Gregson, Sawyer Gregson, Boone-Owen Pierce, Burkeley-Cole Doyle, and Bowie-Beckett Chappell.

Funeral services will be Thursday, July 16, at 10:30 a.m. in the Cobb Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Eddie Clemons officiating. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 9:30 a.m. until service time at Cobb Funeral Home. Following the State of Arkansas COVID-19 guidelines, no more than 100 people will be allowed to gather inside of Cobb Funeral Home at one time and practice social distancing, keeping a 6-foot distance between one another.
