Sewer worker tests positive

Blytheville Mayor James Sanders said Monday, during his press conference, that a wastewater department worker has tested positive for Covid-19.

On Monday, there were 25 active cases in Blytheville and 89 total active in Mississippi County.

Meanwhile, Blytheville Police Chief Ross Thompson stated that currently all of his officers are healthy, however, within the last several weeks officers have had contact with several citizens whom have since been known to have Covid-19.

Thompson stated the department seems healthy but they are still reviewing how to move forward.

Sanders mentioned that the Blytheville Fire Department and Public Works are 100 percent healthy.
