Doris “Jenny Girl” Boston

Doris “Jenny Girl” Boston was born July 14, 1957 in Blytheville to Mazella Thomas Smith and Augusta Strawther.

Doris graduated from the Blytheville School District in 1976. In 1997 Doris met and married Charles Boston. She later moved to Chicago where she was employed by Comet messenger services for several years. In 2012 Doris moved to Louisville, Ky. Upon moving to Louisville she would also join House of Prayer Ministry where she was a faithful member.

Doris was a very loving person and her love was always on display. She was a loving mother, grandmother, family member and friend. Doris never forgot a birthday, if it was your birthday; you were guaranteed to get a call from her.

On June 25, 2020, Doris began her journey into eternity. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Charles Boston, her parents, a brother Ardell Strawther and a sister Lottie Palmer.

She leaves to cherish precious memories of her, three children, Gwendolyn Evans of Louisville, Ky., Will Frazier Jr of Blytheville and Casandra Frazier of Louisville, Ky.; siblings, Gloria Smith of Waukegan, Ill., Loren Smith of Elkhart, Ind., Mary (John) Jones of Blytheville, James Earl Moore of Texarkana, Texas, Thurman (Karen) Moore of Hannibal, Mo., Carolyn (Paul) Hancock of Blytheville, and a special cousin, David Lee Smith of Las Vegas, Nev. Doris also leaves behind 10 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, a host of stepchildren/grandchildren, her stepfather Percy Jones, nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws and many friends.

Doris is dearly loved and will be greatly missed.

Visitation was from 11:00-12:45 Monday, July 6. Funeral service was 1 p.m. July 6, for immediate family.
