Carlotta Greenberry

Carlotta Greenberry was born July 17, 1953, in St. Louis, Mo., to Cardell Greenberry. Carlotta was a graduate of Blytheville High School and Philander Smith College where she became a member of her beloved Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, INC. Carlotta was a teacher, teaching special needs children in Osceola, Louisiana, and Florida.

Carlotta united with Jeremiah Spiritual Church in Blytheville, under the leadership of Bishop Roscoe Roberson, upon moving to Jacksonville, Fla., she attended Providence Christian Fellowship Church under the pastorage of Bishop Carl J. Logan.

Carlotta was preceded in death by her stepfather, Roosevelt Gillespie; sisters, Marilyn Gillespie and Linda Sain; and a brother, Johnny Greenberry. Carlotta passed away June 2, 2020, at her home is Jacksonville, Fla., at the age of 66.

She leaves to cherish her memory one son, Kharlos Greenberry of Jacksonville, Fla.; one daughter, Princess Greenberry also of Jacksonville, Fla.; her loving mother, Mrs. Cardell Gillespie of Blytheville; four brothers, Bishop Carl J. (Althea) Logan of Jacksonville, Fla., Shelly Gillespie of Blytheville, Pastor Vernal (Latanya) Gillespie, also of Blytheville, Forrest F. (Gabriela) Gillespie of Ansbach, Germany; two sisters, Rita Gillespie of Blytheville and Carlyn Coleman of Jacksonville, Fla.; an aunt, Mrs. Maelee Greenberry Stringer of Blytheville, and an uncle Mr. Jimmy Greenberry also of Blytheville; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, June 13, at 12:00 noon at Greater Jeremiah Spiritual Church, 1100 South Lake Street, Blytheville. Bishop Carl J. Logan will deliver the eulogy with burial to follow at Dogwood Cemetery in Blytheville.

Visitation will be held Saturday June 13, from 10:00 until services began at noon.

McDonald-Horne Funeral Home is in charge of all services and arrangements.
