Linda Joyce James, 75, of Blytheville, passed away Sunday, June 7, 2020, at her home.

Linda was born in Dell to George and Ruthie Smith Johnson. She was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith. Linda was a member of the American Legion and she loved to go dancing and to casinos. She enjoyed going to birthday parties and family events. Linda loved her family and was a wonderful mother.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald James; and her parents.

Linda leaves three children, Donna Miller and her husband Joe of Armorel, Cindy Barnes and her husband Tim of the Half Moon community, and Jessica Cooper and her fiance Marcus Yancey of Blytheville; two brothers, Wayne Johnson of Monroe, La., and Doyle Johnson of Houston, Texas; two sisters, Lucille Hill of Luxora and Georgia Hobbleman of Clearwater, Fla.; two grandsons; 11 great-grandchildren; Linda’s companion, Richard Kyle of Blytheville; and her bonus daughter, Lisa Holt Taylor.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, June 10, at 2 p.m. in the Cobb Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Robert Christian officiating. Burial will follow in Dogwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 5-7 p.m. at Cobb Funeral Home. Following the State of Arkansas COVID-19 guidelines, no more than 50 people will be allowed to gather inside of Cobb Funeral Home at one time and practice social distancing, keeping a 6-foot distance between one another.
