Rotarians deliver meals to seniors

Blytheville Rotarians are donating their weekly meals to those in need. “Since Rotary can not meet as a group we have decided to donate some of the meals we would have eaten each week to someone in our community,” Rotary Club of Blytheville president Sally Cooke said. On Thursday, Cooke and her father, Bill Sullivan, dropped off meals to several senior adults. “We socially distanced ourselves as he drove and I rode in the back with the food,” Cooke said. “We didn’t go inside houses and just dropped food at the doors in several cases.” Rotary’s motto is Service Above Self, and Cooke says it is important that the civic club continue to serve the community even if it can’t meet every Thursday for lunch at the Blytheville Country Club.
