Marshall Colan Green

Marshall Colan Green, 78, of Blytheville passed away at home on Tuesday, March 17. He was born in Hickory Ridge on Jan. 27, 1942, to Marshall Henry Green and Cathryn Eilene Kelly Green. His family relocated to Armorel when he was a child. He graduated from Armorel High School. He lived in the Blytheville/Armorel area for approximately 66 years.

Mr. Green served in the Army National Guard for six years. He was a farmer by trade and he enjoyed farming. He was due to start seasonal work on a farm for Green Point AG. He was retired from Crop Production Services where he was a mechanic and driver.

His family says he was a simple man, enjoying the simple things in life. His sister says he was a great brother. He was kind and helpful…and he was a talker!

Mr. Green was preceded in death by his parents, Marshall and Eilene Green.

He is survived by his son, Marshall Kevin Green and his wife Juanita, of Blytheville; two grandsons, Marshall Zachary Green and Colby Allen Green and his wife Kaitlyn, all of Blytheville; one brother, Gary Green, of Oxford Miss.; one sister, Cathy Fondren and her husband Ronnie, of Blytheville; his ex-wife, but still his best friend, Janet Green, of Blytheville; and other friends and relatives that will miss him dearly.

A private memorial service will be held Monday at Carney Funeral Home at 2 p.m. with Bro. Mike Welch officiating. Due to the coronavirus the service is limited to immediate family members only. Please feel free to offer condolences at carneyfuneralhome.com.
