Eugenia G. Bibbs

Eugenia G. Bibbs, 98, of Manila, widow of Marvin "Bud" Bibbs, died Monday, Feb. 17, 2020, at the Manila Nursing Center. Born in Swifton to the late Mintrie and Bessie Shaver, she had been a Manila resident for most of her life and was a longtime member of the Soul's Harbor Pentecost Church. In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by two brothers, Milo Shaver and Jake Shaver, and one sister, Ruth Foster.

Survivors include one daughter, Peggy Sue Brooks of Manila; three sons, Jimmy Bibbs of New Orleans, Danny Bibbs of Lenexa, Kan., Jerry Bibbs of Grand Blanc, Mich.; one brother, Ray Shaver of Kalamazoo, Mich.; one sister, Faye Cox of Cardwell, Mo. She also leaves seven grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and 12 great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 22, in the Howard Funeral Service Chapel in Manila with Rev. David Fair officiating. Burial will follow in Manila Cemetery. The family will receive visitors Saturday from 1-2 p.m. at the funeral home. Guest register: www.HowardFuneralService.com
