Johnny Mack Combs, 61, of Blytheville, passed away Sunday, Feb. 16, 2020 at his home.

Johnny Mack was born in Luxora to John Murphy Combs and Edith Green Combs and was a retired farmhand. He was a very active person and loved to hunt and fish. He enjoyed watching football and tending to his garden. Johnny Mack was an excellent carpenter and could build anything, but he most enjoyed building windmills and wishing wells. He was also an ordained minister. Johnny Mack loved watching football and spending time with his grandchildren and his dog, Sloan. He never met a stranger and was loved by everyone.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two children, John Paul Combs and Johnny Combs, Jr.; brother, Junior Malone; and two sisters, Barbara Byrd and Glenda Huckabee.

Johnny leaves his wife, Sandra McMinn Combs of the home; five children, Angel Lambert and her husband Charles of Leachville, Loretta Duggin and her husband Robert of Blytheville, Jennie Wingate and her husband John of Blytheville, Katherine Bloodworth of Blytheville and Weona Love and her husband Dwight of Springdale; 14 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and seven brother and sisters-in-law.

A celebration of Johnny Mack’s life will be held Friday, Feb. 21, at 2 p.m. in the Cobb Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until service time at Cobb Funeral Home. Condolences may be expressed to the family at www.cobbfuneralhome.com.
