Phillip Ray Gillette, 76, of Little Rock, passed from this life Thursday, Feb. 13, 2020, in Higden. Born in Blytheville to the late Eugene and Pauline Weaver Gillette, he was raised on the family farm in Reeves, Mo., and graduated from Holland High School in Holland, Mo. He served in the U.S. Army Reserve and National Guard. Phillip was former owner/operator of Clarke-Gillette Industrial Lighting that later became Lighting Power Solutions in Little Rock. He received an associate's degree from Southwest Baptist University in Bolivar, Mo., and had also attended Memphis State University. He had lived in St. Louis for several years where he worked for McDonald Douglas Aircraft and was involved in the development of the F4 Phantom. Phillip had lived in Little Rock for the past 40 years. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Connie Davis and Beverly Green; and one brother, Greg Gillette.

Survivors include his wife of 45 years, Susan Wells Gillette of the home; two sons, Bryan Gillette (Cathy) of Higden and Chris Gillette (Kristen) of Greenbriar; one sister, Paulette Fullerton of Searcy; two grandchildren, Nicholas Gillette and Brendan Gillette.

Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 20, at the Howard Funeral Service Chapel in Leachville with Mr. Shane Fullerton officiating. Burial will follow in Leachville Cemetery.
