Mr. Ben “Mac” White Jr., 72, of Blytheville, passed from this life on Saturday, Feb. 1, 2020 at the Phil and Flo Jones Hospice House in Jonesboro. Born to Ben McArthur and Jane Williams White in Memphis, Tenn., he was a resident of Blytheville for most of his life. Ben was an honor graduate of Blytheville High School, a recipient of a master’s degree from Lambuth College and continued his studies for several years attaining several degrees from various colleges. Ben was to follow in his family’s footsteps with the construction business and as an entrepreneur, he was an individual who possessed a unique ability to create and establish his new ideas into new businesses and ventures and enjoying a rewarding life. Ben was an avid Bridge player whose accomplished abilities, aided him to rank 17th in the world playing competitive Bridge. Ben was preceded in death by his grandparents, Ben W. and Emma White; his parents; uncle, Johnny White, and aunt, Peggy Carmean.

Surviving Ben is his wife of 40 years, Judy Mae Brisentine White of the home; sister, Debbie Eaton of Memphis, Tenn.; mother-in-law, Opal Brisentine, of Jackson, Tenn.; nephews, Dale Fisher of Jonesboro, Michael Lightman Jr., of Memphis, Tenn., and Daniel Eaton of Memphis; brother-in-law, Michael Lightman of Memphis, Tenn.; cousins; Peggy Hancock and Connie Tackett.

Funeral services will be conducted, Tuesday, Feb. 4, at 2 p.m. in the Cobb Funeral Home Chapel with Mr. Billy Holifield officiating. Burial will be private, and the family will receive friends Tuesday afternoon from 12:00 noon until service time, also at Cobb Funeral Home.
