Edward Charles Taylor

Edward Charles Taylor of Sikeston, Mo., was born July 18, 1951, in Jericho, to the late Willie Taylor and the late Orliner McGhee Taylor. He was a farm worker and was of the Baptist faith. Mr. Taylor passed away on Jan. 18, 2020, at the Life Care Center of Cape Girardeau, Mo., at the age of 68. He was preceded in death by his father Willie Taylor; his mother Orliner McGhee Taylor; his wife Jackie Taylor; one brother Willie Taylor, Jr. and two sisters, Ruthie Mae Lewis and Betty Jean Bradley.

He is survived by seven sons, Travis Cox, Michael Cox, Derrick Cox, Curtis Cox, Adrian Cox and Devarion Taylor, all of Cape Girardeau, Mo., and Kevin Love and Edward Taylor, Jr. both of Arkansas; six daughters, Bonquita Cox and Angel Taylor, both of Cape Girardeau, Mo., Faith Ann Taylor of Sikeston, Mo., Felicia Brown and Freda Taylor, both of Arkansas, and Alexis Ivy of Oklahome; seven brothers, Cleo Taylor, Calvin Taylor, J.B. Taylor and Jerry Taylor, all of Sikeston, Mo., Freddie Taylor of Fort Myers, Fla., Solomon Taylor of West Memphis and Chester Taylor of Louisville, Ky.; seven sisters, Marilyn Aldridge and Dorothy Comona, both of Sikeston, Mo., Ocella Taylor of West Memphis, Josephine Taylor of Blytheville, and Shirley Taylor, Jackie Taylor and Barbie Taylor, all of Louisville, Ky.

The visitation will be held from 1-2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 1, at Wilson Funeral Home in Blytheville, with the funeral immediately following at 2 p.m., Pastor Lucy Bonner officiating. The burial will be held at Sandy Ridge Cemetery in Burdette. Services are provided by Wilson Funeral Home Blytheville.
