Inaugural MLK Unity Parade held in Blytheville

The inaugural “MLK Unity Parade” was held Monday on Main Street in Blytheville. The event was organized by Melisa Logan and deemed a success, overcoming the frigid temperatures. The parade participants included the Blytheville Police Department, Blytheville Fire Department, Mayor James Sanders, Mississippi County Judge John Alan Nelson, Mississippi County Sheriff Dale Cook, State Rep. Monte Hodges, Sickle Cell Warriors, Prince of Peace, area pastors and churches, McDonald Horne Funeral Home, Elite Diamond Dancers, Girl Scout Troop 3268, Mt Moriah Youth Group, Healing in the Hood, Daddy’s Diamonds, Travels with Nicole, Go Getters Travel, Mailboxes and Beyond, Tobye McClanahan for JP, the Divine Nine, One Optimistic Kid, Arkys World Empire, Naturally Blessed Salon, Class of 2020, Blytheville High School Chickasaw cheer team, Blytheville Middle School Chickasaw cheer team, walkers from the community, Letroy and Emma Gathan, Virginia Done, Sunrise Daycare, Big D's Barber Shop, Mighty Mike Lester, Minister Cunningham, community motorcycle clubs (Ruff Ryders, 240 Ryders), Spillers Trucking Company, and Sanitation Truck In Honor of the Sanitation Workers.
