Anita Boyd Crick

Anita Boyd Crick, 96, of Blytheville, passed away Saturday, Jan. 18, 2020, at Gosnell Therapy and Living Center.

Anita was born in Cleveland, Miss., to C.A. and Velma Crick Fletcher. She was a former cosmetic clerk at Super D Drugstore and a member of First Baptist Church. During World War II, Anita served as a riveter on B17 planes. In 1962, Anita achieved one of her life goals and received her GED. She then took a typewriting course in which she received her certificate in typewriting in 1963. Anita loved cosmetics, reading, sewing, making jams and jellies and playing basketball.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, Vernon Boyd, Carl Harmon and Woodrow Crick; her parents; two children, David Boyd and Angela Harmon; one brother, Felders “JR” Fletcher; three sisters, Ova Mae Hughes, Gladys Jo Barber and Elizabeth “Jawuice” Hargett; and one grandson, Michael Boyd.

Anita leaves four grandchildren, David Carl Boyd, Jr. of Midwest City, Okla., Ryan M. Boyd of Shawnee, Okla., Jennifer J. Boyd of Oklahoma City, Okla., and Nathan L. Boyd of Blytheville; seven great-grandchildren, Kayla N. Boyd, Amber M. Boyd, Bria Boyd, Zoe Sanders, Tara Boyd, Christopher Boyd and Krista Boyd; and four great-great grandchildren, Jayce, Jolee, Koa and Aleah; and one daughter-in-law, Jeanetta Boyd of Oklahoma City, Okla.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, Jan. 23, at 10:30 a.m. in the Cobb Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be private. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 6-8 p.m. at Cobb Funeral Home. Condolences may be expressed to the family at www.cobbfuneralhome.com.
