Mamie Sanders, 69, of Blytheville passed away Tuesday, Dec. 24, 2019, at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro. Mamie was born June 2, 1950, in Hernando, Miss., to Willie and Elnora Mobley Sanders. She was employed at Blytheville Nursing and Heritage Square Nursing and Rehabilitation Center as a nursing assistant.

She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters Norell Sanders and Eloise Patton, and a grandson Malik Wells.

Mamie is survived by two sons, Joseph Sanders and Willie Sanders both of Blytheville; four daughters, Catherine Sanders of Dallas, Texas; Marlo (Ray) Williams of Marion; Tenniel Sanders of Dallas, Texas; and Rockhele Sanders also of Dallas, Texas; two brothers, Cleother (Mary )Sanders of Smithville, Tenn.; and Willie (Julia) Sanders, Jr. of Dayton, Tenn.; five sisters, Josephine Blair and Norma McNeal, both of Augusta, Ga., Ida Mae (Jesse) Westbrook of Richland Park, Ill., Clementine Williams of Nashville, Tenn., and Brenda (Chauncy) Felix of Gulfport, Miss.; 11 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held Friday, Jan. 3, from 5-7 p.m. in the chapel of McDonald-Horne Funeral Home, 1207 South Division Street.

Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, Jan. 4, at 1 p.m. at Pilgrim Rest Missionary Baptist Church, 809 East Main Street, Blytheville. Reverend Rickey Everett is the pastor. Reverend Larry Guyton will deliver the eulogy with burial in Gethsemane Gardens Cemetery.
