Opal Novella Watson

Opal Novella Watson of Blytheville was born Jan. 12, 1926, in Tennessee to the late Johnny Billings and the late Mamie Coffman Billings. She was a homemaker. Mrs. Watson passed away Dec. 7, 2019, at Great River Medical Center in Blytheville at the age of 93.

She was preceded in death by her father Johnny Billings, her mother Mamie Coffman Billings, her husband Billy Ray Watson, one brother Robert Smith, and three sisters, Jewel Rodgers, Kathleen Baker and Louise Hise.

She is survived by one son Alford Watson of Blytheville; two daughters, Mamie Combs of Jonesboro and Virginia Hatley of Blytheville; one brother Bill Smith; three sisters, Margaret Morris, Betty Faulkner and Patty Sue Miller; nine grandchildren and a host of great-grandchildren.

The visitation will be from 12-2 p.m. Friday, Dec. 13, at Wilson Funeral Home in Blytheville with the funeral immediately following at 2 p.m., Bro. Gary Andrews officiating. The burial will be in Mt. Zion Cemetery in Steele, Mo. Services were provided by Wilson Funeral Home Blytheville.
