Mae Irene Burt

Mae Irene Burt, 91, of Wilson, died Dec. 6, 2019, at Methodist University North in Memphis, Tenn. She was a retired factory worker and of the Baptist faith. Ms. Burt was born June 26, 1928, in Tyronza to E.V. and Nancy Robertson Dillard.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband William Burt, one son Albert Burt, one daughter Jo Ann Burt, one brother J.B. Dillard, two sisters, Ellen Smith and Louise Odell.

She is survived by six sons, Harold (Donna) Burt of Fort Smith, David (Sheila) Burt of Sand Ridge, Donald Burt and Michael Burt of Wilson, Bobby Burt of Temple, Texas, and Mark (Billie Ann) Burt of Lepanto; three daughters, Annie Hinson of Payneway, Dotty Burt and Tammie Campbell of Wilson; one brother, Jimmy Dillard of Kentucky; two sisters, Mary Lou Tacker of Whitton and Betty Reynolds of Dyess; 17 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren.

Visitation was Saturday, Dec. 14, from 12-2 p.m. with the funeral at 2 p.m. at Wilson Funeral Home in Osceola. Burial was at Bassett Cemetery in Bassett with Bro. Billy Suthern officiating. Wilson Funeral Home in Osceola is in charge.
