Claude Wayne Buazard

Claude Wayne Buazard, 73, Blytheville, after a long battle with medical issues, went to be with the Lord on November 14, 2019. He was born in Lake City to Steve and Ruth (Cook) Buazard on April 2, 1946. He was a faithful member of Calvary Baptist Church where he taught a men’s Sunday school class.

Mr. Buazard was a retired professional truck driver. He loved riding his motorcycle! He also enjoyed fishing, hunting, and bird watching. Other things he enjoyed doing included collecting knives and guns, watching old westerns (especially John Wayne), and Elvis movies and songs. His children and grandchildren remember collecting rocks during their walks with him. He loved reading his Bible. In fact, it was normal for him to spend one to one and a half hours everyday reading the Bible.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Steve and Ruth Buazard. Brothers: Steven Buazard, and William Buazard: Sister, Sue Hatcher.

He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Nancy (Haubenschild) Buazard.

Sons: Michael and Christine Buazard of Elk Grove Village, IL, Allen Buazard of Rockford IL, Matthew Buazard and Niki Hall of Rockford IL, Steven Jahn of Rockford IL and Kerry Jahn of Huntsville AL.

Daughters: Connie Buazard (Darryl Harvey) of Jacksonville FL, and Danielle (Troy) Thompson of Rockford IL.

Sister: Sheila Buazard, Stella Tabb.

Many grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will be Thursday, Nov. 21, at 4 p.m. in Carney Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Jim Russell officiating. Visitation will be 3:00 p.m. until service begins. Condolences may be offered at carneyfuneralhome.com.
