Sarah Jane Young

Sarah Jane Young, 97, of Osceola, died Nov. 9, 2019, at Harris Healthcare in Osceola. She was a homemaker, member of Princess Chapel MB Church for 72 years, motherboard and Pastors Aide President. Ms. Young was born April 28, 1922, in Houston, Miss., to J.T. and Annie Hamilton Harrell.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Lonnie Young, Sr.; one son Lonnie Young, Jr.; one daughter Doris Young; one brother Busby Harrell; three sisters, Emma Young, Rosie Chandler and Ruth Howard.

She is survived by two daughters, Shirley (Peter) Anderson of Sebring, Fla., and Patsy Young of Osceola; one brother Rubbel Harrell of Halls, Tenn.; four grandchildren, Tony Anderson and Kenneth Anderson of Orlando, Fla., Marie Anderson and Justin Anderson of Sebring, Fla.; five great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 12-2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 16, with the funeral at 2 p.m. at Princess Chapel MB Church in Osceola. Burial will be at Whiteside Cemetery in Osceola with Rev. Robert Ousley officiating.
