Verlene Jacqueline Carter Stancle

Verlene Jacqueline Carter Stancle of Blytheville was born March 19, 1946, in Osceola to the late Albert Carter and the late Lillie Carter. She was retired from NIBCO and was of the Baptist faith. Mrs. Stancle passed away on Sept. 29, 2019, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Memphis, Tenn., at the age of 73.

She was preceded in death by her father Albert Carter; her mother Lillie Carter; her first husband John Palmore, Sr.; one son Kent Palmore; three brothers Charles Carter, Edward Carter and Ronnie Dale Carter; and one sister Millicent Carter.

She is survived by her husband Randy Stancle of Blytheville; three sons, John (Teresa) Palmore, Jr., Kurt (Lisa) Palmore, Sr., and Derrick (Vickie) Palmore, Sr., all of Blytheville; three daughters, Valerie (Eric) Ward and Sherry Henry both of Covington, Ga., Tawanda Palmore of Blytheville; two brothers, Ray Carter of Wisconsin and Willie (Lillie) Carter of Indiana; three sisters, Frances Oliver of Memphis, Tenn., Dorothy Carter of Blytheville and Naomi Hasting Carter of Memphis, Tenn.; 23 grandchildren, a host of great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

The visitation will be held Friday, Oct. 4, from 6-8 p.m. at Wilson Funeral Home in Blytheville with the funeral following the next day Oct. 5, at 10 a.m. also at Wilson Funeral Home. Rev. Gregory Jones will be officiating. The burial will be held at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Blytheville. Services are provided by Wilson Funeral Home Blytheville.
