Marvel Jean Rosa Hedum, 80, of Janesville, Wis., passed away early Tuesday morning, Sept. 17, 2019, at Mercyhealth Hospital & Trauma Center. Marvel was born June 21, 1939 in Sioux Rapids, Iowa, the daughter of the late Albert W. and Laura C. (Helkenn) Loof. She was active in her church and their activities, loved to quilt and crochet, and loved crafts. She took special joy in keeping up with her grandchildren through Facebook. Family was the most important piece of her life!

She had worked in food service for Van Diest Medical Center/Hampton Hospital, and had worked for Milwaukee Electric Tools until her retirement.

Marvel is survived by her five children, Becky (Marc) Anderson, of Janesville, Teresa Raymore, of Lubbock, Texas, Robert (Sandra) Carter, of Arlington, Texas, Christine (Jon) Voogd, of Aplington, Iowa, and Sharon (Mark Wiswell) Luedtke, of Rapid City, S.D.; her brothers and sister, Albert (Beverly) Loof, Jr., Wayne Loof, Joyce (Dale) Loof-Nelson, James (Cathy) Loof, and Dean (Linda) Loof; 10 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, and friends. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a grandson, her sister-in-law, and her nephew.

Graveside committal services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 12, at Oak Hill Cemetery in Cherokee, Iowa.
