Charles Edward “Butch” Ashley, Jr., 65, of Blytheville, died Sept. 12, 2019, at Methodist University Hospital in Memphis, Tenn. He was retired from farming and of the Baptist faith. Mr. Ashley was born May 2, 1954, in Little Rock to Charles and Dorothy Mowery Ashley, Sr. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Robert Donald Ashley and Billy Ray Ashley, one sister Nellie Melvin.

He is survived by his wife, Carolyn Ashley of Blytheville; two sons, Charles Eugene Ashley and Daniel Lee Ashley of Blytheville; two daughters, Christy McKinney of Blytheville and Kandi Gillmore of Steele, Mo.; two brothers, James Ashley of Jonesboro and Ricky Ashley of Osceola; one sister, Patricia Mann of Blytheville; four grandchildren, Tiffany Lloyd, Christian McKinney, James Andrew Scrivner and Matthew McKinney; three stepgrandchildren, Brandon McKinney, Tyler McKinney and Nicole Askue; one great-grandson, Steven Lloyd.

A memorial service was held at 2 p.m. held Sunday, Sept. 15, at Wilson Funeral Home in Osceola. Wilson Funeral Home in Osceola was in charge.
