Bill Lionel Donel

Bill Lionel Donel, 83 of Mountain Home, former Manila resident, passed from this life Wednesday, Sept. 4, 2019, at Hospice of the Ozarks in Mountain Home. Born in Manila, he was the son of the late Arlin and Velma Patterson Donel and had lived most of his life in California. He was a longtime deputy sheriff for the Sutter County Sheriff Department and also served in the California National Guard. He later worked as a manager for Morgan Tire Company in Yuba City, Calif.

Survivors include his life partner of 21 years Sharen Young; his daughter Lisa Rogers of Yuba City, Calif.; his sister Elizabeth Folks of South Lake Tahoe, Calif.; three grandchildren, Matt Cole of Sacramento, Calif., Shannon Donald Swainston of Preston, Idaho, Justin Donald of Chicago, Ill. He also leaves several great-grandchildren.

Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Howard Funeral Service of Manila. A memorial service will be announced at a later date.
