Billy Ray McClelland

Billy Ray McClelland, 79, of Turrell, passed away Sept. 2, 2019, at Flo & Phil Jones Hospice House in Jonesboro. A U.S. Army veteran, he was a retired painter and a member of Turrell Baptist Church. Mr. McClelland was born Oct. 18, 1939, in Gilmore to Morris and Doris McFarland McClelland.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his son, Junie McClelland; six brothers, Thomas McClelland, Donald McClelland, Robert McClelland, Russell McClelland, Jimmy McClelland and Kenneth McClelland; and one sister, Evelyn Carter.

He is survived by his wife, Patsy McClelland of Turrell; one brother, Barry McClelland of Greenbriar; two grandchildren, Billy James McClelland of Senatobia, Miss., and Lindsey Boston of Moscow, Tenn.; four great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 1-2 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 5, with the funeral at 2 p.m. at Wilson Funeral Home in Tyronza. Burial will be at Tyronza Cemetery in Tyronza, with Bro. Jeff Crockett officiating. Wilson Funeral Home in Tyronza is in charge.
