Janie Paulette Minton

Janie Paulette Minton, 67, of Caraway, widow of Kenneth Minton, passed from this life Tuesday, Aug. 13, 2019, at her home. Born in Caraway, she was the daughter of the late Paul and Kathleen Pearson Edmondson and had been a lifelong resident of the Caraway and Milligan Ridge areas. A graduate of Caraway Central High School, she later worked as a migrant tutor for Manila Public Schools and was a longtime member of the Milligan Ridge Missionary Baptist Church.

She leaves one son and daughter-in-law, Brian and Donna Minton of Manila; one brother, Fred Pearson of Mountain Home; one sister, Charlotte Wood of Caraway. “Nanna” also leaves her two grandchildren, Ty Minton and Paige Minton.

Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Friday, Aug. 16, in the Howard Funeral Service Chapel in Manila with Rev. Mike Colvin officiating. Burial will follow in the Manila Cemetery. The family will receive visitors Thursday evening from 6-8 at the funeral home.

Pallbearers include Rickey Jackson, Dwight Jackson, Cody Weathers, Caleb Weathers, Michael Minton, Bobby Lee Barker and Dwight Whittenburg.
