Annie McAuley, 85, of Memphis, Tenn., formerly of Armorel, passed away at NHC Healthcare in Dosloge, Mo., on Aug. 1, 2019.

Annie was born to Martin and Bernice Gamble Needham. She was of the Baptist faith. She worked and retired as a secretary at Rhodes College in Memphis. She loved to read, watch Chicago Cubs baseball, listen to Elvis, and always enjoyed her cup of coffee. Annie loved having her grand and great-grandchildren come over for visits.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Joe McAuley; her parents; one son, Stephen McAuley; eight siblings, Margie White, Joe Needham, James Needham, Jean Stafford, Steve Needham, Florence Needham, Virginia (Sis) Hargis, and Lawrence Needham; one great-grandchild, Desmond Culton.

Annie is survived by her children, Joanna English of Desoto, Mo., Jeffrey McAuley and wife Gabriella of Lawton, Okla., and Randall McAuley and wife Angela of Memphis, Tenn.; two sisters, Mary Moore of Jackson, Tenn., Emma Lou Hargis of Houston, Texas; one brother, Wally Needham of Chambersburg, Penn.; daughter-in-law, Sue McAuley of Itasca, Ill.; eight grandchildren, Lori McAuley, Jason McAuley (Valerie), Jonathan McAuley (Amanda), Isabella McAuley, April Tyson, Taylor Tyson, Eric Tyson (Britney), and Jessica Ross (Derrick); 14 great-grandchildren, Lily McAuley, Kennedey McAuley, Kyle McAuley, Iesha McAuley, Aiden McAuley, Kyara McAuley, Baily McAuley, Tre Grant, Daisia Grant, Shawn Grant, Lexy Tyson, Alex Tyson, and Roland Ross; one great-great-granddaughter, Liberty Binsbacher, daughter of Desmond Culton.

Funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. Monday, Aug. 5, at Cobb Funeral Home Chapel, Jeffrey McAuley officiating. Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2 p.m. until service time at Cobb Funeral Home.
