Lessie B. Wimbley

Lessie B. Wimbley was born Sept. 20, 1935 in Lambrook, to the late Johnny Parnell and the late Venola Faye McDonald Parnell. She was a homemaker and a member of Nehemiah Temple COGIC for over 60 years. Mrs. Wimbley passed away on July 10, 2019 at Great River Medical Center in Blytheville at the age of 83.

She was preceded in death by her father, Johnny Parnell, and her mother, Venola Faye McDonald Parnell, and two sons, Charlie Wimbley Jr. and Windale Wimbley.

She is survived by her husband, Charlie Wimbley, Sr. of Blytheville; three sons, Frank (Terica) Wimbley of Blytheville, Randy Dean Wimbley of Mayfield, Ky., and Dwayne Wimbley of Blytheville; four daughters, Johnnie Wimbley Mizer and Betty Jean Wimbley Henexson, both of Blytheville, Delores Wimbley Kellman of Ocala, Fla., and Diane Wimbley of Blytheville. She also has many siblings in who live in Toledo, Ohio.

The visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. Friday, July 19, at Wilson Funeral Home in Blytheville The funeral will be held the following day July 20, at 11 a.m., also at Wilson Funeral Home in Blytheville with Pastor James Tyson Bragg officiating. The burial will be held at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Blytheville. Services are provided by Wilson Funeral Home Blytheville.
