Eva Alsup Bowling

Eva Alsup Bowling, 84, of Blytheville, went to be with the Lord Friday, July 5, 2019, at Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House in Jonesboro.

Born to Levi and Edna Beaury Alsup in Etowah, she retired from Arkansas Department of Human Services where she worked as a case worker. Eva was a faithful member of Trinity Baptist Church where she taught children’s Sunday school for over 40 years. She was a former member of the Blytheville chapter of the Eastern Star. Eva devoted her life to her church and her family. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Bowling, Sr.; her parents; a grandson, Jason Bowling; four sisters; and five brothers.

Eva leaves four children, Ricky Bowling and his wife Vickie of Blytheville, James “Jimmy” Bowling, Jr. of Jonesboro, Terri Bowling of Blytheville and Cheryl Bowling of Blytheville; two grandchildren, Joshua and Jacob Bowling; sister-in-love, Janet Mullins and her husband Doug of Lexington, Ky.; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, July 10, at Trinity Baptist Church with Rev. Mike Welch officiating. Burial will be private. The family will receive friends Tuesday, July 9, from 5-7 p.m. at Trinity Baptist Church.
