Clinton “Kenny” Godsey

Clinton “Kenny” Godsey, 73, of Blytheville, passed away Wednesday, May 8, 2019.

Kenny was born in Haleyville, Ala., to Tolbert and Clara Porter Godsey. He was a truck driver and a member of Trinity Baptist Church. Kenny loved to play his guitar and sing, and loved his dogs and his family.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Quinton Godsey; and sister, Nadean Cannamore.

Kenny leaves his wife, Jeanie Hooper Godsey of the home; seven children, Tracy Godsey and his wife Tina of Manila, Carrie King and her husband Mitchell, Jr. of Blytheville, Joseph Godsey and his wife Mandy of Osceola, Matthew Godsey of Blytheville, Cecilia Tucker and her husband Garrett of Gasville, Michelle Hooper of Rector and Charles Hooper, Jr. of Gosnell; two brothers, Levi Godsey of Pekin, Ill., and Niles Godsey of Washington, Ill.; four sisters, Mary Harden of Tilton, Ill., Aurece Connor of Westville, Ill., Terri Dunne of Danville, Ill., and Sheronette Avery of Blytheville; 12 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, May 10, at Trinity Baptist Church with Rev. Mike Welch and Rev. Mitchell King, Jr. officiating. Entombment will follow in Dogwood Mausoleum. The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. Thursday at Trinity Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to Trinity Baptist Church in memory of Kenny.
